COMPANY POLICY ON THE CHAIN OF CUSTODY
S.A.T. LTDA. APICOLA EL PERELLO has implemented a Chain of Custody Management System in accordance with the requirements of PEFC under standard PEFC-ST 2002:20. This system is intended to promote the production and marketing of food products containing PEFC-certified honey and derivatives, certified using the percentage method, from sustainably managed forests.
For this reason, the company is committed to:
1. Comply with the requirements of PEFC to ensure the maintenance of the chain of custody of certified materials throughout all production processes until shipment to the customer.
2. Annually review the management system and the resources necessary for the system's operation.
3. Provide our customers with accurate and verifiable information on the PEFC-certified material content of our products.
4. Train workers on the PEFC chain of custody.
5. Comply with social health and safety requirements based on the ILO Declaration of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work 1998, in the following areas:
- Workers must not be prevented from freely associating, electing their representatives, or collectively bargaining with the company.
- Forced labor must not be used.
- Hiring minors under 15 years of age or below compulsory school age is prohibited.
- Equal opportunities for workers are not impeded, nor are they discriminated against based on sex, race, religion, etc.
- Working conditions must not jeopardize the safety or health of workers.
In order to ensure compliance by all personnel with the provisions of this System and fully achieve its objectives, the company's management fully supports and promotes this System and grants the necessary authority to the CDC and SDD Manager to ensure that the necessary processes for the system are established, implemented, and maintained, achieving an adequate level of effectiveness.
Management requires all staff to positively fulfill this commitment in the performance of their activities, each and every one participating in accordance with the responsibility and authority corresponding to their position within the company.
